  • Benchmark Exam this week: Study and Review Ch. 4 and 5.
  • Congratulations to all our SECME and Science Fair representatives, all of you did a great job. Results for Science Fair are coming on Feb. 7. SECME results are not out yet but so far: 1st Place Robotics VEX IQ in MDCPS and 3rd place in Science in MDCPS!!! Awesome!!!
  • Science Project due for all students that did not participate in the District Fair: Share through the portal or bring boards or any display you may have by next week.

  • Good luck to all our SECME Science Fair participants. See you all on Satuday Jan. 26. Miami Dade College North Campus. Don’t forget to bring all paper work before Friday. Thanks!

Login to your portal and open your Science Project Plan. Add these sections to the plan: Bibliography, Materials and Procedures. I left notes in your PP’s please check and revise if necessary.

What do I really want to know? How will I do it? What materials will I use? (Make a list) How will I conduct my investigation? List a procedures list as detailed as possible.
  • Chapter 3: Read and review the lessons on Chapter 3 and login to your textbook to answer the quizes and the Virtual lab. 
  • GBE Project: Research about your GBE plant. Origin, Germination time, growth time, best environment to grow in, nutrition facts, characteristics, types of roots, leaves, pictures (These are just suggestions, you create your own outline and investigation process for your plant, take pictures of your plant in class to have growth records)
