WEEK OF FEB. 18-21
Kudos to our robotics teams, 2929K and 2929X, for their performance at the States qualifier in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday: third (Skills and Tournement) and second place (Skills). Our team is now advancing to the State of Florida Robotics Championship in two weeks. Best of luck! This Saturday, March 22, Rockway Middle will host its second VEX Robotics High Stakes Qualifier. The tournament will bring together 21 middle and high school teams from across Florida, with our very own team 9393V competing for their spot at States. Go Rockbots! Classwork How can you accurately measure the speed of another robot as it approaches your own? Launcher/intake brainstorming; Pythagorean Theorem: use the formula (a² + b² = c²) to find the height the ball should get, knowing the distance from the target and the diagonal.
