Robotics Safety Contract and Class Supplies
Students have learned in class about the following:
- Safety
procedures (evacuation signs, safety zone)
- Eye protection.
- Fire
extinguisher and/or fire blanket.
- First aid.
- Heat and electrical
sources and how to use them safely.
- Waste-disposal containers and storage.
- Understanding the safety information presented, the rules and procedures of the class.
- Asking questions when they do not understand safety instructions.
- Keeping
bookbags under their worktable and any electronic devices inside the bookbag.
- Pledging to
follow all the safety guidelines that are presented at all times.
- Always following
the safety instructions that the teacher provides, abiding by our "Responsibility Rules" principles.
Additionally, they pledge to be careful about their own safety and to help others be safe. They
understand that they are responsible for helping to create a safe environment in the classroom and workstation.
REMEMBER:
Start the Investigation only
after your teacher has given you permission to do so.
Always
ask questions if you are unsure about a procedure or need help during the investigation.
Follow your teacher's instructions before, during and after the investigation.
Eating or drinking in the classroom is not permitted.
Tell your
teacher about any accidents or injuries even if it seems to be a small matter.
Your work
area must be cleared, and all materials returned to their proper place when the session is completed.
ROBOTICS CLASS SUPPLIES
- Class Fee: Payments online. Log in to the student’s Portal (or parent’s portal) and look for the
OSP (Online School Payment) on the apps tab.
- Safety Glasses (personal)
- "Composition" Notebook with title: Personal Engineering Notebook “PEN” (Preferably Gridded) Former
students may want to use last year’s Engineering Notebook.
- Computer/laptop. Bring yours or ask the Assistant Principal for information about laptop lease.
- Blue pen, ruler, protractor, eraser, pencil, dry erase marker, earbuds.
- Plastic folder with copy paper (about 20 papers)
